Star Wars The old Republic first impression

Videogames First impression Star Wars The Old Republic As an avid Star Wars and role-playing fan, I have always been looking for a video game where I could create my own character and then make the galaxy unsafe with my own personality. Starting with the character’s individual appearance through to the character’s attitude and fighting style. What a dream it would be if you could experience all of this in the Star Wars universe…. And this is exactly where Star Wars The Old Republic comes in. As I wrongly assumed until 3 May 2024 that you had to pay a monthly fee to play this online MMO, I always avoided the game despite its excellent reputation. One evening, as I was browsing through the Steam store on my PC again, I decided without further ado to finally download and test the game. It’s a free-to-play game, so apart from the memory used, the only thing that could have been a mistake for me was the time invested. I confidently started the download and waited until the 52.07 GB installation was complete. But what was my first impression of the game? Does the gameplay for which the computer game is so well known also work for me and will it offer me many hours of fun in my beloved epic? Let me give you my first impression of Star Wars The Old Republic in this article. Have fun. . Chapter 1 Charakter Editor Right at the start of the game, you are faced with a fundamental decision. Will your character act for the light or dark side and thus represent a Jedi or a Sith? At first I was surprised and admittedly quite overwhelmed by this decision, but in the end I decided in favour of the dark side of the Sith. Now it was straight on to the character editor. Between various face templates, beards, scars, face paints and the choice between humans or aliens, you could also choose your fighting style. After trying out the available components for a while, I had my Sith ready and started my adventure full of anticipation. Chapter 2 The beginning of the epic Sith Warrior story The Sith Warrior The SITH IMPERIUM is tightening its grip on the galaxy. The Galactic Republic and its Jedi defenders are weakened and vulnerable after the Empire’s successful military campaign. After negotiating a fragile peace, the Empire sends all potential Sith to the Academy on the inhospitable planet KORRIBAN for cruel and deadly trials. Today, one of the greatest talents among the budding warriors has been secretly summoned by an influential overseer to face the trials of the dark side much sooner than expected … Immediately after the text, which is presented in typical Star Wars style, a ship loads up on a planet called Korriban. It is our warrior, who climbs out of the spaceship with two metal sticks strapped around his back and makes his way to a person already waiting on the landing pad. Not even in front of the waiting person, he introduces himself. So we are dealing with “Warden Tremel“, who has the task of supervising the Sith tests. These tests are used to determine whether a candidate is worthy of the Sith Order or not. And it is precisely this test that we must also undergo. Chapter 3 The controls Afterwards I was able to walk my first metres with the previously created Sith and had to realise that the controls take a lot of getting used to! At the time of writing this ‘first experience with the PC game Star Wars The Old Republic’ report, I was completely overwhelmed with the controls. First of all, I should mention that I play the game on a PC and am therefore used to a certain type of control. However, the game breaks with this conventional control method and replaces it with a non-interchangeable, cumbersome and decelerating control system that has cost me a lot of nerves and still does. So you don’t move your character with the classic AWSD buttons, but run forwards with the W button, as you normally would. However, to manoeuvre your warrior sideways (!) you have to stop and turn the camera to the left or right using the A and D buttons in order to continue running in that direction. As confusing as the control behaviour I have just described sounds, it also plays well. Even after 3 hours of active playtime, I haven´t got used to the controls in the smallest way. As the battles all take place in real time (not statically), you take a lot of avoidable hits – at least at the beginning – which caused me some frustration. I’m curious to see whether the, in my opinion, very unusual controls will keep me from continuing to play for a long time, despite the great gameplay loop and the superbly staged atmosphere. Chapter 4 The Sith Trial: Retrieve the blade from Ajuntha Pall’s tomb So we head towards the tomb of Sith founder Ajuntha Pall to carry out our mission. Fortunately, once we have received the mission and reached our destination, all that separates us geographically is an inner courtyard adjoining a cave or tomb. We enter this and encounter our first opponents. 4 K’lor slug worms attack us at the same time. However, due to our low level, we can only defend ourselves with one attack at a time. After a few recurring K’lor snail worms, we reach level 2 after a few minutes of play. And this is where the game achieves something that many role-playing games do: You feel vindicated in what you are doing and become stronger to boot. Once you have defeated the K’lor snail worms, the next adversaries are waiting for you just a few metres further on. On the plus side, they are much stronger and more powerful than you, but attacking them remains optional. I attacked the waiting troops during my playthrough and,
50 facts about Darth Vader
Facts Facts about Darth Vader 1 As a human, Darth Vader was 1.88 metres tall. After his transformation into a cyborg, he was 2.03 metres tall! Anakin Skywalker was born 41 years before the Battle of Yavin and died 4 years after the Battle of Yavin as Darth Vader, making him 45 years old in total. 2 3 Although Vader is the main antagonist in Star Wars Episode 4 – A New Hope, he only appears in the film for 12 minutes! That’s still 7 minutes longer than Tarkin’s 5 minutes. A variety of actors were involved in portraying the dark Sithlord: Jake Loyd (Episode 1), Heyden Cristasen (Episode 2 & 3), Sebastian Shawn (Episode 6). David Prows played the iconic villain in episodes 4 & 5 and Bob Andason in the fight scenes. David Prows’ voice was later replaced by that of James El Jones. In addition, 7 other actors have voiced the Dark Lord in various video games and series. 4 5 It is rumoured that the swordsman Bob Anderson had to take over the fight scenes for Darth Vader in the original trilogy, as David Prows was too brutal and rough with the prop swords and they kept breaking as a result! David Prows didn’t realise until the release of Star Wars Episode 4 – A New Hope that his voice would be replaced with that of James El Jones. After learning of this, Prows simply stopped learning most of his lines in Episode 5 and Episode 6 and sometimes narrated nonsense on camera! 6 7 The reason for replacing the voice of David Prows was that the voice of the embodiment of the iconic villain sounded so banal that the other actors simply called David Prows ‘Darth Farmer’. A dispute between the creator of Star Wars George Lucas and David Prows escalated due to the teasing of David Prows’ banal-sounding voice. The actor David Prows, who felt he had been treated unfairly, began to slander the Star Wars films in public, which ended in a legal dispute between George Lucas and Prows. The result of the dispute was that Prows was banned from all Star Wars conventions. 8 9 Darth Vader is the most profitable character in the entire Star Wars franchise! Merchandise featuring Palpatine’s dark henchman is the best selling item in the Star Wars franchise. Darth Vader is described in both canon and Legends as a master of the aggressive Lightsaber IV form, which he had to adapt somewhat to his new circumstances after his transformation into a cyborg. 10 11 The fact that Darth Vader is the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa was kept a closely guarded secret during the filming of Episode 5 at the end of the 70s. The script said that Darth Vader told Luke that Obi Wan had killed his father! The only person who knew the truth was Marc Hemmel (Luke Skywalker), as he needed the information to be able to play his role authentically. After filming, the correct text was recorded by James L. Jones. The idea that Darth Vader could be Luke’s father only came to Lucas during the second revision of the script for Star Wars Episode 5. Until then, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader were two different characters. 12 13 Darth Vader is ranked third on the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 most iconic film villains, just behind Hanibal Lekter and Norman Bades. The film ‘A New Hope’ is the only film in which Darth Vader’s musical theme – The Imperial March – is not played, as the piece had not yet been written at the time. 14 15 Darth Vader is the only villain to lose his arm three times! Once in the battle against Count Dooku on Geonosis, once against Obi Wan Kenobi on Mustava and once against Luke Skywalker on the second Death Star. Darth Vader is one of 4 characters who appear in all of the original 6 films. The other 3 are Obi Wan Kenobi, C3PO and R2D2. 16 17 Darth Vader and C3PO share first place for ‘most limbs cut off in the first 6 films’. They amount to a total of 5! Originally, the voice of Darth Vader was not supposed to come from James El Jones, but from Orson Welles. However, the creator of the Star Wars epic decided against the voice of Welles, as his voice was too well-known. 18 19 Due to the decision against the voice of Orson Welles, the trailer for Star Wars Episode 4 was recorded by him. In canon, Darth Vader has no father. In Star Wars Legends, it is heavily implied that Darth Plaigus created Anakin using the Force. 20 21 In Star Wars Legends, Darth Vader’s suit would not actually have been necessary. However, Darth Siddious had it made to weaken his henchman and subsequently keep him under control. Darth Vader’s suit, when closed, created a closed atmosphere that kept Anakin alive. 22 23 In canon, it is known from several sources that Darth Vader became even stronger than before after his transformation into a cyborg! The canon refutes this statement. In some early drafts of Star Wars Episode 4, Darth Vader wasn’t always supposed to wear his suit. Originally, Vader was a normal Imperial general who was supposed to fly to Auntie-4 in a suit at the beginning of Episode 4. 24 25 In another early version of Star Wars Episode 4 – A New Hope, Darth Vader was supposed to die at the end of the film to complete the film! In Back to the Future, Darth Vader was described as a person from the planet Vulcan. 26 27 Vader’s helmet had to be filled with cotton wool because David Prows’ head was too small for the helmet. The idea of having Luke Skywalker cut off Darth Vader’s arm in Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi came from the first Star Wars novel “Splinter of the Minds Eye”
Making Of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

Making Of Making of Star Wars Episode 1 All I need is an Idea. George Lucas – 11.01.1994 vor seinem Schreibtisch sitzend A desk in front of an open window. To his left, you can hear cheerful film music coming from a tube TV. It is the summer of 1999 and George Lucas is sitting at his desk, writing the beginning of his legendary epic. The creator and creative mind behind the most famous science fiction saga, which was to leave its mark on viewers across generations, took advantage of the technological progress that was rapidly advancing at the time and created the first part of the Prequel trilogy. And he did it like most creative people: without pressure in a harmonious environment to allow his mind and soul to unfold completely I think about sceens all the time. And they come in an mosaic. Than there come some messy ones. Therfore I have to sit down and write them down. It starts with me sitting here, doodling little miner, but it ends up with 1.000 People, who working togetter, in a very emotional creative way. George Lucas – 11.01.1994 vor seinem Schreibtisch sitzend Cpater 1 Vorbereitungen 5 months before filming begins: George Lucas, the mastermind behind the complex films of the Star Wars universe, is in a room with his assistants. In front of him is a huge screen on which various scenes from the upcoming film are sketched in black and white. George Lucas is using a coloured pencil to mark all the relevant scenes for the upcoming filming of the sketched scenes. George Lucas holds two coloured pencils in his hands. With the help of these pens, the mastermind behind the film marks which scenes are ‘real’ and which are ‘unreal’ and therefore have to be added in post-production so that the scene corresponds to how the script and George Lucas imagined it. Casting for the role of Anakin Skywalker In order to cast the role of the ‘Chosen One’ in the best possible way, George Lucas casts various children in the age range 9-10 years. At the end of the day, the child who plays the scene most authentically gets the role in the film ‘Star Wars Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace’. The children are carefully and sympathetically prepared for their casting on the set of the film. George Lucas and his colleague explain the content of the scene to the children before they start filming. When all the children have played the scene with Nathalie Portman, who plays Padmé Amidala in the Prequil triology, George Lucas stands in front of the computer with Robin Gurland, the casting director and his crew and looks at all the film material that they had previously recorded at the casting. Jacke Loid was chosen for the role because, according to Robin Gurland and George Lucas, he looked the most natural of all the participants in terms of his body language. In addition, Jake Loyd and Sam Majord were visually compared with Mark Hamill at the time of the filming of the 4th part of the Star Wars saga in order to create a realistic line between son and father. Chapter 2 Makeover Ewan McGregor Actor Ewan McGregor, known for his portrayal of Obi Wan Kenobi, underwent a complete makeover for the role of Obi Wan Kenobi. His long hair was shortened to one centimetre with a hair clipper. Some hair was left a little longer on the side so that the stylists could create Obi Wan Kenobi’s typical hairstyle from the first part of the Prequil Triology. As in all important events, the director and mastermind behind Star Wars was also present here. With his friendly and calm manner, he watched as the restyling process progressed and McGregor looked more and more like Kenobi from George Lucas’ mind. Jar Jar Binks The actor Ahmed Best, who embodies the role of Jar Jar Binks, slips into the costume for the first time, which gives the goofy companion his visual appearance. A million saved, is a million earnd! George Lucas on his directors cutting the budget for Jar Jar Binks In plain language, the statement from the mastermind behind Star Wars means that the scenes featuring Jar Jar Binks were cut and they were able to reduce the film’s budget by 1 million US dollars just by reducing the clumsy Jar Jar, who adds cost to the character’s animations every time he appears! The plan was that they wanted to speed up Ahmed Best’s movements in post-production to give the lovable klutz his iconic ‘slobbery movements’. Chapter 3 Filming We are in Watford, England. George Lucas’ team rented the Rolce Roys Factury for the filming. The 850,000m2 area was remodelled into various set locations in which they were able to construct various backdrops. Over 600 people were involved in the filming, working in shifts for 24 hours. Steven Spielberg is welcomed in the courtyard of the site and given a short tour. He is given exclusive insights into various sets and props used in the final battle on Nabo. Afterwards, the team gathers in a smaller room of the facility. Chris Newman, the assistant director, sits down with the mastermind of the Star Wars stories and discusses important details for the rest of the filming process. Final scheduling co-ordinations are discussed as well as minor details and habits of the individual characters during filming Action sequences Fight choreograp Nick Gillard, who plays the role of ‘Stunt Coordinator’ in the movie Star Wars Episode 1, watches two colleagues as they fight one of the many battles with metal rods. The metal rods are used here as dummies for the lightsabers used in the fights in the final film. We see the young Ewan McGregor training with his sparring partner as he practices his choreography with the lightsaber against Darth Maul in the movies’s final showdown. The metal rod has bent due to too many
Darth Vader – The ultimate Villain

General Darth Vader The ultimate villain “If you are not on my side, then you are my enemy!“ Darth Vader to Obi-Wan Kenobi before the battle on Mustafar (Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Chapter 38 – ‘You break my heart’) The iconic and most feared Sith has brought fear and terror to the galaxy alongside his pity-inducing resume. No one else had the potential that Anakin had, but which “the Chosen One” was never able to fully exploit until his death. The reason for this, in addition to his severe physical and emotional deformities, was the fear of losing his great love Padmé Amidala. The murder of his mother and the combination of recurring nightmares that his young, beautiful and pregnant wife would suffer the same fate as his mother fueled the young Skywalker’s irrepressible lust for power. And it was precisely this power that Anakin believed he could only find on the Dark Side. At the age of just 22, after one of the most impressive battles in the Star Wars saga against his friend and master Obi-Wan-Kenobi, “the Chosen One” met a fate that would change his entire life. Due to arrogance, recklessness and cockiness, Anakin suffered severe burns, lost body parts and was severely emotionally damaged. Even people who are not familiar with Star Wars see the cyborg with shiny black armor as the ultimate villain and virtually THE embodiment of evil. But what is it about the antagonist that makes his name Darth Vader a household name? Chapter 1 Dominance and presence While Palpatine’s loyal sidekick was still in the background in the first part of the classic trilogy and only got 11 minutes of screen time, in “Star Wars: A New Hope” the most legendary antagonist in film history moved more into the center of the action. No longer just a walking mystery with extravagantly powerful abilities and black armor, Darth Vader was actively involved in the plot of the film in the sequel. The viewer is also shown that Vader assumes the role of a strong leader without mercy – he rolls up his arms, goes into battle and gets his hands dirty! The way in which the dark Sithlord in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” purposefully marches into the rebel base on the ice planet Hoth in front of his troops also illustrates the aforementioned thesis here. The final showdown in “The Empire Strikes Back” also shows how confident and superior Vader is in the fight against his son, as he holds his lightsaber with just one hand and still retains the upper hand throughout the entire battle. In addition to his fighting skills, the Dark Lord also uses the Force by repeatedly throwing various objects at Luke. Throughout the fight, the “uncertainty” component of the viewer is played with, as they had no idea what the Dark Lord was capable of! Of course, the climax of this battle comes when Vader cuts off his own son’s right hand, revealing what is probably the biggest plot twist in movie history: Vader isn’t just any villain, he’s Luke Skywalker’s father, exuding such brutal harshness and coldness that he makes the viewer feel like he’d even go so far as to kill Luke, his own son, next time! But as we all know, Anakin’s career had a different twist in store for him. In the subsequent film, which concludes the classic tribology, the dark lord was given a face for the first time. This key moment is very important for the pop and cult figure. The mysterious antagonist takes off his mask for the first time! This “humanization” allows the viewer to identify more with the antagonist. Whereas Lord Vader was previously just an emotionless “robot”, here the viewer also gets to see the “humanized” and “helpless” side of the dark Sith. This is why the first three parts (especially the third) of the prequel trilogies are so essential to understanding Darth Vader as a whole. The viewer suddenly understands Vader’s intentions and understands that Anakin basically always solved his good intentions with the wrong actions. And in my eyes, THAT is a big factor in the Darth Vader myth. Chapter 2 Revenge Playing off the inquisitors against each other And what makes this project so special is Darth Vader’s approach. At the beginning of the series, the dark lord in shining black armor has 3 powerful warriors in his care: the so-called Inquisitors. As the episodes progress, the cyborg skillfully triggers the emotions and needs of his subjects in order to play them off against each other. How does he do this? Vader announces that he is looking for a successor to his position of leadership over the Empire and his residence on the lava planet “Mustava”. Whoever would prove worthy would soon be able to ascend the Tron. This information was passed on to each Inquisitor personally, which meant that a series of intrigues and ambushes within the ranks were the order of the day. In the beginning, information was kept to themselves until later on, mutual assassination was the order of the day. Darth Vader demonstrates once again how deeply the Dark Side has grown within him. He exploited the weaknesses of his subjects and played them off against each other, causing a veritable massacre of intrigue and violence. Chapter 3 Demonstration of power To mention all of the Sith’s moments would go beyond the scope of this post, so I’ve picked out some of what I consider to be his most evil or Force-demonstrating moments. Slaughter of the rebels (Rogue One) We find ourselves in the middle of the action during the “Battle of Scarif” when Darth Vader sets off with a small fleet in tow to capture the rebel spaceship. His goal is the plans for the Death Star, which have been stolen and taken to safety on the rebel fleet. The rebel ship’s alarm sounds. Panicked, the 4 remaining rebels set off with their
The first Sith – The founding of the modern Sith Order

General The first Sith The founding of the modern Sith Order In order to tell a gripping and engaging story, you always need strong, threatening and, in the best case, mysterious antagonists in addition to interesting protagonists. The battle of good versus evil forms the foundation for exciting stories in every narrative. This is also reflected in the Star Wars epic in the form of Jedi and their pondon the Sith. The latter are considered to be particularly merciless, ruthless and powerful and can only make decisions in one direction to an extreme extent. But the most striking characteristic: one is more evil than the other! The most famous Sith are undoubtedly the Emperor Darth Siddius and his loyal sidekick Darth Vader. But who founded the Sith Order and thus laid the foundation for the most evil and threatening movement in the entire Star Wars cosmos? Chapter 1 The story of Ajunta Pall Ajunta Pall was one of the most influential Jedi the galaxy has ever seen. The former Jedi was the founder of the traditional Sith Order, laying the foundation for a vicious movement that would spread fear and terror wherever the Sith followers went! Ajunta Pall was a Force-sensitive human who was also a member of the Jedi Order. During his training, he became familiar with all the teachings of the Force and even attained the rank of “Jedi Master”. Chapter 2 Alchemy Alongside his successful career as a Jedi Master, which earned him great popularity, Pall began to study alchemy. A decision that would fundamentally change his life! Through his studies, he discovered the secret of creating life and shaping it to his liking. However, Ajunta Pall’s groundbreaking findings were viewed with great indignation by the Jedi Order, who saw his research and discoveries as an abomination of the Force and therefore attempted to destroy all his records and research! As a result, the Jedi Council placed a ban on the teachings of Pall and his followers. Likewise, the Jedi now viewed their former comrade as a servant of the dark side! Chapter 3 War Angry and misunderstood, the former Jedi and his followers declared war on his former companions! This went down in the history of the Star Wars epic as the “100-year war”. When Ajunta Pall and his followers defeated more than a dozen Jedi in the final battle of the war on Korbus alone, the newly founded group was at the height of its power. Nevertheless, they could not withstand the Jedi’s superior numbers in the long run. Captured by his former companions, Pall and his followers were disarmed and banished from the Republic galaxy. So Pall’s exiled followers began their search for a new home planet until they came across Coriban in Autharim. The planet was desolate, devastated and gave the impression that it harbored no life forms whatsoever. When Ajunta and his followers tried to claim the planet for themselves, the still small group of former Jedi discovered a Force-sensitive species that called themselves “Sith”. Chapter 4 Discovery of the Sith The Sith are an alien species of the galaxy, visually characterized by reddish skin and tentacles. The species is known to use the Dark Side of the Force, although their abilities are no match for those of the former Jedi! Ajunta Pall tried to gain all their knowledge and subdue them. During this endeavor, Pall managed to trick the leader of the Sith into siding with him, with the result that the king of their organization was betrayed and personally executed by Pall. Later in the story, the Sith species movement, led by Pall, became interested in the technology and starships of the Dark Jedi. They also admired their ability to manipulate the Force, which quickly led to them worshipping visitors to their planet and viewing them as gods. Ajunta Pall and his kin subjugated the natives and his new Sith subjects came to revere him as “Jen Ari” (dark lord). Chapter 5 Foundation of the Sith Empire Later, Jen Ari, previously known as Ajunta Pall, founded the Sith Empire and expanded it to surrounding worlds. First they took over Syost, creating it as their capital and Pall’s new homeworld. After decades of service to his empire, the founder of the Sith Empire eventually died, but his empire lived on under his visions. The body of the founder of a movement that later spread fear and terror was brought back to Coriban, where it was placed in a monstrous tomb in the “Valley of the Dark Lords”. Despite the large number of Sith, the powerful and vicious group never managed to maintain as well-structured an order as their enemy, the Jedi. Ascent at all costs Philosophy of the Sith Chapter 6 Discovery of the Sith Any rigid structure irrevocably collapsed under them over time as ambitious Sith Lords vied for control. Thus, coups and intrigue were a constant companion to the Sith, which subsequently damaged cohesion and was the downfall of their original attempt to dominate the galaxy millennia before the modern era. Although their bid to conquer the Republic almost succeeded, internal strife only hastened their downfall and they were nearly defeated by the Jedi Order. In addition to the internal strife that pushed the movement to the brink of extinction, the few that survived laid the foundation for the return of the Order and, subsequently, Palpatine’s rise to power. Chapter 7 Who are the Sith? The Sith are an order discovered by a group of former Jedi who discovered the raw power that could be achieved through devotion to the dark side. Legend of the galaxy In connection with the founding of the Sith Order, the “Legend of the Galaxy” is also repeatedly brought up: According to the Legend of the Galaxy, the Jedi Order suffered an extreme schism thousands of years ago. From the ashes rose a hostile sect dedicated to the glory of the dark side. This sect did not share what they saw as
That’s how strong the dark side was in Luke Skywalker

General THAT’S HOW STRONG THE DARK SIDE OF LUKE SKYWALKER REALLY WAS It’s no secret that Luke Skywalker was arguably one of the most powerful Jedi in the history of the Star Wars canon. But his power has only recently been redefined, as Luke has recently shown his strength on the dark side of the Force in a new comic. This extract from the comic also shows why the Emperor was so keen to turn the son of his right-hand man Darth Vader to the dark side in the 6th instalment of the classic Star Wars trilogy, and why he was even willing to sacrifice his loyal servant Darth Vader to do so. But how strong was the dark side of Luke Skywalker, the shining hero of the galaxy, really? Chapter 1 Luke’s first contact with the dark power The movie “Star Wars Episode 5 – The Empire Strikes Back” already makes it clear that the aspiring Jedi carries dark power within him. When the aspiring Jedi met Master Joda after a vision in which Obi Wan Kenobi told him to visit the planet Dogba, he taught him the most basic things about the Force. The dark side of the Force was something that all Jedi had to learn about. Yoda also decided to introduce Luke to the dark forces and show him how to resist them. In fact, Luke often asked himself what the difference was between the dark and light side of the Force. Yoda explained to him that fear, anger and aggression were the ways of seduction and that this led to the malevolent Dark Side. The next day, Yoda led him to a dark and secluded place on Dagobah. Under a tree was a cave where Luke was surprised to meet Darth Vader. Luke instinctively pulled out his lightsaber and hatefully cut off the Dark Lord’s head. As Vader’s decapitated head rolled to the side, Luke recognised his own face inside the helmet before it vanished into thin air. Chapter 2 Marvel Comic „Star Wars“ Ausgabe 43: Roter Kyberkristall In the comic volume 43 entitled ‘Star Wars’, the young Jedi Luke Skywalker ventured into a red kyber crystal with the intention of cleansing the red bled-out crystal from the dark side with the help of the light side. This methaphysical journey led Luke directly into the clutches of a sentient journey to an ancient Sith. This legendary Sith was none other than the one who made this crystal bleed. While the young Skywalker was trapped in the methaphysical plane to heal the crystal, this mysterious man was working to pull the son of Darth Vader to the dark side, as his spirit was still trapped in the crystal. To do this, the nameless man dropped Luke down various chasms in a completely red-coloured planet. Luke was locked up in a prison cell and this Sith lured the Jedi to the dark side. To do this, the mysterious man triggered a sore spot in Luke that the aspiring Jedi carried a lot of: pain! The pain of losing his family, the pain that Palpatine’s right-hand man, Darth Vader, was his father and, above all, the permanent loss of his hand, which he lost in the battle against his father in the movie Star Wars Episode V. The nameless Sith left Luke in his cell and abandoned him to his fate. The young Skywalker looked at his severed hand and paused for a moment. He utilised the pain caused by the injury, the loss of his hand, and let out a powerful Force blast that blew out the bars of his cell. This scene gives the reader insight into how Luke Skywalker meditated on the pain of his severed hand for a few minutes before generating an enormous Force energy blast, which we can assume must be purely from the dark side. Although Sith like Darth Vader have achieved even more powerful abilities with the help of the dark side, the fact that his father, unlike Luke, was trained in these abilities for years should be taken into account here. In the case of young Skywalker, it was merely a brief reaction that symbolises how much Darth Vader’s son is also driven by the dark side of the Force. The young Skywalker was one of the biggest rejecters of the dark side. It was all the more paradoxical, however, that he had one of the greatest potentials in the entire Star Wars cosmos to become the most successful Sith ever. . Chapter 3 What if Luk had turned to the dark side If the young rebel hopeful had fully committed himself to the dark side, Luke Skywalker would have become an unstoppable Sith with a master like Emperor Palpatine. The most powerful Sith there ever was and probably ever would have been. But this scenario is quite unlikely, as it begs the question of whether Emperor Palpatine would never have allowed this to happen? Darth Siddius was never prepared to share his place, the leadership of the Empire and subsequently the galaxy, with his partner! For this very reason, Darth Vader’s master is always glad that his apprentice relies on his iconic black armour. As well as having complete control over Vader, the armour also gave him complete control over his sidekick. This meant that he always had leverage over Vader and at the same time the knowledge that he would always be superior to his pupil. And it is precisely this aspect that would be lost with Luke Skywalker! From the Emperor’s point of view, it is therefore unthinkable that a Sith with Luke Skywalker’s abilities would grow up alongside Darth Siddius. Only a small ‘accident’, which the Emperor would perfidiously stage, could help the Emperor’s plans to realise his plans without the danger that his sidekick would one day become more powerful than himself. This could take the form of armour similar to that used on Darth Vader or some other deformation of the
The big Darth Vader quiz
What if Qui Gon had killed Darth Maul

What if QUI-GON WOULD HAVE KILLED DARTH MAUL Qui Gon knelt patiently on the floor. Fully focussed, with the knowledge that the energy gate separating his Padawan Obi Wan Kenobi and Qui Gon Jin was closing so that together they could continue to defeat the mysterious Sith Darth Maul with his iconic double-bladed sword, he knelt on the floor to meditate during the short breather. When the gate opens again, Qui Gon activates his lightsaber at lightning speed and attacks the tattooed Sevrik. It only occurred to him later that his student Obi Wan could help him when the energy gate closed again and he was pinned between the gates once more. Heavy blows followed, one harder than the other. The experienced Jedi, who was currently fighting alone against his adversary, noticed how his opponent was gradually losing patience. The experienced Jedi foresaw a feint by Maul that would counter his lightsabre combat form. So Anakin’s discoverer deviated from his usual fighting form and countered his adversary’s sneaky attack. Instead of striking from above like his opponent, he wiped his lightsaber through Darth Maul’s stomach from the side, which split the antagonist of the first Star Wars film in two! Lying on the ground, the deformed Sevrek didn’t beg for mercy at all, but used the last of his strength to shout at Qui Gon Jin that his revenge was coming and that one man would destroy them all…. Darth Siddius. Chapter 1 Who was Darth Siddius? Three years went by… The last words of the double-bladed warrior left big questions unanswered and were not to leave Master Joda or the entire Jedi Order in peace. Ever since the events on Naboo, the Jedi had been puzzling over who this ominous Darth Siddius could be! As the name contains the well-known first name ‘Darth’, which characterises a Sith, the Jedi realised that they were dealing with a serious threat. Stunned, they realised that for decades they had been under the misapprehension that they had defeated their adversaries, the Sith! The Jedi and higher ranks of the Jedi Order had no answer to the question ‘Who was Darth Siddius?’ mentioned at the beginning. Chapter 2 Training to become a Jedi As the story progressed, it was not Obi Wan Kenobi who would take over the young Skywalker’s training, as was already known in the canon, but his discoverer Qui Gon Jin. The experienced Jedi knew how important his mother was to Anakin Skywalker, who grew up on the desert planet of Naboo. Based on this indicator, the wise master taught the aspiring Jedi early on in his training that Anakin should always trust his feelings. He shouldn’t suppress them, as many Jedi and Jedi Masters would have him do. Instead, he should accept the feelings that arise and see them as part of him. Even if the Jedi Council did not entirely agree with Qui Gon Jin’s methods of teaching the Jedi, Anakin Skywalker and his master made a great team! But what happened to Obi Wan Kenobi later on? After the events on Naboo, the Jedi, who was still in training at the time, completed his exams and became a Jedi Knight! But after just a few weeks, the former pupil of Qui Gon Jin was already behaving very differently from usual. It appeared that Obi Wan Kenobi was avoiding his former master. The newly minted Jedi felt neglected and outcast, as all eyes were on Qui Gon and the young Skywalker after Maul’s death, even though Obi Wan had also played a significant part in the fight against the Sith. This growing and ever-increasing resentment, coupled with dissatisfaction with Anakin’s Jedi Council training, was to have even more serious consequences…. Chapter 3 Captivity 7 years later…. A mysterious arrow from a bounty hunter led Obi Wan, now an experienced and powerful Jedi, to the isolated planet of Kamino to check on the current state of production of the clone army commissioned by the Senate, and then to Gionosis, where he discovered a secret droid factory! The hidden modern production facility for battle druids strongly indicated that the armies produced here were being prepared for war! This worried Obi Wan and so he sent a radio message to Coruscant. However, the normally cautious Jedi caused too much of a stir and was taken into custody. The Republic had to set out immediately to rescue Jedi Kenobi, who was serving loyally for the Senate! However, they lacked both the resources and the army to do so. Qui Gon Jin and Anakin were unaware of all the turmoil in the galaxy, as the two had gone into exile to Aldeolin, a small river moon in the Alterim, years ago. In the past, disputes arose time and again that were never fully resolved, so Anakin’s discoverer, who later became known as Darth Vader, moved into exile. And so the two lived in exile on Aldolin as pupil and master, meditating and training for the great day when Anakin would fulfil his great prophecy. Chapter 4 double game On Gionosis, however, Count Dooku, the former master of Qui Gon Jin and disciple of Grand Master Yoda, confronted his new prisoner. He told him about the doomed Jedi Order and how a dark Sith named Darth Siddius had been leading the Jedi Order around by the nose for years. Obi Wan remembered the name mentioned. After all, it was none other than the one the mysterious warrior with the double-bladed sword had mentioned. When Dooku offered to ally with him after a heated discussion, Obi Wan saw this as the ideal opportunity to act as a double agent and agreed to the offer. Chapter 5 Order 66 It’s been 3 years and we’re in the middle of the Clone Wars when one order changes everything: Order 66! Everywhere the clones turned against their Jedi and liquidated them in a treacherous manner. Chancellor Palpatine, who turned out to be the Emperor and ruler of
